A rare sight indeed. After very wet week, topped off by excessive rain yesterday, the River Cam was officially closed to punt traffic. The high water, and in particular the strong currents in the swollen river lead to the closure for safety reasons. The Punt companies business is already suffering due to this April being particularly full of , well, April showers.
A sky of Cambridge blue finally returned at times today with odd glimpses of sunshine and, it was DRY!!!
